Comprehensive Eye Examinations

Our comprehensive eye examinations evaluate your eyes, both inside and out, for any potential disorders or diseases. Your visual skills and abilities are carefully evaluated and appropriate treatment is prescribed, whether is’s medication or lenses. Evaluations for eye health disorders are also performed.

WAVE CORNEAL MOLDING – ORTHOKERATOLOGY

Wave Corneal Molding is the use of specially designed retainer contact lenses to gently reshape the front surface of the eye (called the cornea) to eliminate or reduce nearsightedness (myopia) or astigmatism. The principle is similar to the use of a dental retainer used by an orthodontist to realign teeth.

VISION REHABILITATION

At Georgia Eye Center we aid patients who have had poor outcomes from refractive surgery.

Contact Lenses

We provide comprehensive cornea and contact lens care.  After an eye examination we evaluate your eyes and determine which type of contact lens will best suit your individual needs.

We prescribe all major brands of soft and ridged contact lenses.  Additionally, we prescribe custom designed contact lenses for special needs as well as special eye problems.

Frame Services

When talking to someone, it is our eyes that we are communicating with.  More than our clothes.  More than our hair cut.  More than our shoes.  Frame styles matter.   It only stands to reason, your glasses are the immediate accessory that everyone sees.  Today, many people view their glasses as they do their jewelry.

Lens Services

With Spectacle Lenses, there is a wide range of available features. New technologies has brought us a range in lens power that is virtually unlimited. However, not all available features are right for all of our patients. As such we provide you with a brief discussion of each of these features so when you visit our office you will have some ideas of what features might work best for you.

PEDIATRIC VISION CARE

Vision in the broadest sense, is the global ability of the brain to extract, process and act on information presented to the eye. This complex process can be thought of as three major but related areas: visual acuity, which is largely dependent upon refractive status and eye health;

EYE DISEASES

Dry Eye Syndrome occurs when the normal flow of tears over the eyes is interrupted, or the tear film is abnormal. In many cases, dry eye syndrome is a life long problem. You can relieve the symptoms, but not cure the original cause. Artificial tear lubricants or in some cases blocking the tear ducts will concentrate the limited tears that are available.

OCULAR TRAUMA

Eye injuries can occur at any time. Our office is equipped to handle most eye injuries. The primary instrument we use is a biomicroscope, sometimes referred to as a slit lamp. The biomicroscope has a high magnification and is particularly designed to aid us in evaluating the extent of an eye injury.
